Okay, so Monday morning we wake up… will this be our perfect day?
How will we know?
Have we ever thought about it?
Gratitude is a big part of being happy. I don’t know about you, but I often read or hear people say that you need to be grateful for the little things in life. Now, while I think that is true … it is sometimes easier said than done!
“That perfect day, that magic moment that we’re all waiting for, is right now.”
Kevin Griffin the American singer, songwriter, and record producer; best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Better Than Ezra.
But what if, we try to think about it a little more and take positive proactive steps to live our best. That way we can start to see and recognise “the good”.
Thinking about it, every day we get up and we go through our day. Wouldn’t it be great if we had our Perfect Day!
But how would we recognise our Perfect Day?
Thinking about it, it jumped out to me that we have two distinctly different days … at the very least! A Day at Work and A Day at Play.
Here is a simple technique that can be used to recognise and possibly start to orchestrate our perfect day.
Starting with the Perfect Day at Work, let’s sit down and imagine the day. We wake up at 6.00am… then what? Working in 30-minute time slots start to map out your Perfect Day. What does it look like?
Now do the same thing for your Perfect Day at Play. We wake up at, say 7.30am, … well it isn’t a work day … right? Then we map out the day in 30-minute time slots.
What would your perfect day look like?
What needs to change for today or tomorrow to be your perfect day?
Could you take a day off or use the next weekend to actually live your Perfect Day at Play?
Maybe certain aspects of yesterday had elements of your Perfect Day? Let’s start to recognise and celebrate those little wins!
“Give every day the chance to become the most beautiful day of your life.”
Mark Twain
Keep going! You can do this!
